Starting with the black dial working through clockwise, the ever present Seiko 5 logo is located at the 12 o'clock position, providing authenticity. At the 3 o'clock position is a simplistic black day and date display, making for easy reading. Both indexes and hands are coated in luminous, making for clear visibility at night.

The hands are powered by an 21 jewel automatic movement. To protect this magnificent dial, hardlex crystal glass and a silver stainless steel case sit above the dial.
