Absolutely superb example of this iconic divers watch with the caliber 7002 movement which has 17 jewels and runs at 21,600 bph. It's a non-hacking movement like most traditional Seiko calibers and has a quickset date only calendar mechanism.

By the late 1980s, Seiko had changed the case design of the divers from the earlier large cushion shape to a slimmed-down case. When the 7002 divers replaced the 6309s, they inherited the small case design from the. The 7002 series came out after the end of production of the 6309 series diver and ran from approx. There are several different variations of the 7002 divers and this one the 7002-700A is identical to the others with the vintage divers distinctive look.
