SUPERB 1949 OMEGA SEAMASTER AUTOMATIC, RARE EARLY SEAMASTER. This stunning and rare Omega Seamaster Automatic gents watch was produced in 1949 and features a sta i nless steel case with complementing silver sub seconds dial. The 2493 is the first model of Seamaster to be produced by Omega, production commenced of the famous range in 1949 with the 2493 and this will have been one of the first Seamasters ever produced. All round condition of this fine vintage timepiece is outstanding as can be seen in the images. The 2493 was a rather large watch for the 40's.

With its larger 36mm case size. The stainless steel case is immaculate and houses its original Omega calibre 332 bumper automatic movement which has recently been serviced and is running beautifully.

The dial is in superb order with very little ageing, its signed crown excellent and crystal equally clean and blemish free. The screw in case back is again, very good and screws in and closes perfectly. The overall condition of the watch is outstanding.

Vintage Omega wristwatches of this type have proven to be a very sound investment over recent years, have steadily risen in value year on year and are continuing the trend as they come onto the market less and less over time. If you would prefer a different coloured strap please let us know.
