Valentina Tereshkova Titanium Automatic Vostok Amphibia Soviet Watch - Working. This beautifully rare Vostok was made to commemorate Valentina Tereshikova the first women in space. You will see other models of this circulating, but I doubt with the titanium case and automatic movement, making it so rare! Valentina Vladimirovna Tereshkova is an engineer, member of the Russian State Duma, and former Soviet cosmonaut.

She is known for being the first and youngest woman in space, having flown a solo mission on the Vostok 6 on 16 June 1963. The automatic movement with the gentlest of flicks, rotates multiple times exuding quality.

With a large 42mm Titanium case, rotating bezel, screw down crown and seals in the back this is a high quality amphibian watch. (Before diving or using under water we would recommend this be properly sealed).

Even the hands still glow! This is truly a real Collectors piece and a once in a lifetime opportunity to add this to your collection! Condition - great condition overall. Case great has some minor surface scratching with the odd slight deeper scratch. Dial great some specs of dirt and signs of aging. Crystal has been professionally polished, There are some small defects to glass with a small chip towards 9oclock. Wound and Tested and keeping good time over night. Country of manufacture - USSR. Case size lug-to-lug - 48.1mm. Strap - black leather strap with a clasp. I personally change or polish crystal/Plexiglass to a high standard and straps plus test the watches for efficiency unless specified in title and description. The pictures provided form part of the description and should be checked thoroughly. I do not service the watches, only refurbish unless specified in title/description. If I have changed something I will detail it in the listing. All stock is stored in a secure facility until sale and therefore extra pictures cannot be provided. In working/serviced condition watches are guaranteed by -5/+5 minutes and is checked manually, item in working condition and keeps time to the best of my knowledge and runs for at least 12+ hours, give or take -5/+5 minutes over 24 hours from a full wind, unless specified in the description. With any vintage watch not serviced, there could be a few minutes lost or gained over 24 hours. Item has been wound and left stationary running over night and face up, to make sure the watch is functional. The best way to describe a vintage watch is like an old car, regular servicing, oil and care will keep your watch healthy and improve longevity.
